Yes I do. He knows it all from the beginning to end, and yes I do believe that. ITs all predestined, and God knows jsut how it will all turn out, and knows who will answer His call.
He gives us all choice, but He does know who will and who wont answer. HE knows every the number of hair on our head. And , yes, there is nothign that God doesnt know.
Even when a person is dying early, usually there is a reason for it, and God sure did know it ahead of time.
God often takes someone early to spare them pain of whats right aroudn the corner. and God will take them home when He knows He is done with them and they are ready to go home. And, God tries to talk to all of us. SO, if God talks to us, and we ignore the warning, then we will often be led to our own demise by the choices we make.
To be blessed by God you must walk by faith, and do the commands of God. They arent just a suggestion, they are commands. HE says IF YOU LOVE ME< OBEY ME>
HE doesnt just hint that obedience would be nice. HE commands it.
Its how we show if we truly love Him or not. Do we prefer our own sin over the plan God has for us? If so, thats self worship and its idolotry. God says that its from open rebllion, which He sees as witchcraft and they will be lost, if they dont finally turn to God and do it as God says to do it and do it all in joy becasue they love God so much. Jesus didnt half way die and sacrifice for us. HE could have been taken down from that cross and saying NO I WONT DO IT. But, HE didnt do that. He gave His all for us. Who are we to give Him any less? Yes GOd knows it all, the end from the beginning, and yet we hve the precious gift of CHOICE>
GOd bless you... your friend Shirley

If we were all predestined then where would free will come in.
We would not be accountable for our actions since it was programed into us what we were going to do.
But that is not the case. Samuel anointed Saul to be the first king of Isreal. Because God believed him to be a good king.
Then he got to haughty and sinned. Free will?
Then God anointed Solomon to be the king after David believeing he would be a good king.
Solomon prayed for an understanding heart. And god gave it to him, he was the wisest man that ever lived next to Jesus.
But then in 1 Kings 11:9God became incensed at Solomon because his many wives which God had said, "do not multiple wives for yourself or horses." Those was his two down falls. But how could he do that unless he choose to do that. So there fore he was responsible for his actions.
If a plane crashes and all aboard die, was it all their time to die? Hardly.

Since I do not believe in God or a higher power, I do not believe there are any strings of fate or destiny controlling when we die. If we die of natural causes, the length of our life is largely the result of how we lived and some predetermined genetic factors. If we die of an accident or are murdered, then our death was caused by circumstances beyond our control but was not pre-ordained.
On a side note, I find it a bit disturbing that those who believe in God can actually attribute cancer, stroke, murder, horrific car accidents, and other horrible deaths to Gods will. I would think that if there really was a God pulling the strings, then we would simply die when it was our time. No blood, no pain, no suffering.

The spirit, when it is in the body, is called our soul, only Jesus can discern between soul and spirit, and the time of that happening Jesus knows,
Hbr 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

No, I do not agree with that. The bible says "time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all."
Ecclesiastes 9:12 For man also does not know his time. Just like fishes that are being taken in an evil net, and like birds that are taken in a trap,so the sons of men themselves are being ensnared at a calamitous time, when it falls upon them suddenly.
What about the World Trade center, was it all of a sudden there time to die? I doubt it.

Sort of how God continually stays the same, we change. Our first change is being born, and our final one is dying. To say God has a time designed for all of us can be a tricky concept. It entails believing that we each have a purpose. I believe this, but others here are a lot more smart for their own good to see this.

I know that there have been instances in the bible when I was lead to believe that man's course can be slightly altered as long as the end result is the same. I believe that murder alters divine plans although it does not ruin them ( i.e. when Cain murdered Abel) Therefore, yes I do think that people can be killed before their work is done.

No, I disagree.
Follow up question: if someone is resuscitated by modern medicine, is that person defying the intent of the Lord Jesus by living beyond when they would otherwise have died, or were they just calling Lord Jesus' bluff?

This rumor very well could be true, in fact, because of this I refuse to fly on any commercial airplane, believing if the good lord wants someone on that plane bad enough to crash it, I sure don't want to go with him, or her.
