im suposed to make a timeline of about 20 events and its supposed to be done on excel and the right amount of space is supposed to be inbetween each event so its proportionate to the events, i have no idea how though,, help??

The very easiest way is to open Excel and type in the Office Assistant the word Timeline. You are then connected automatically to Microsoft Online and there you have a timeline template to download. Just replace the dates that are given with whatever figures you need and the text boxes with whatever text you need. You'll see when you download.

Using 20 columns, assign an event to each column. Then resize each column so that the spacing between events is correct.
