NEVER ask women this question.... you're only asking for opinions.... you're gonna get the usual "i like nice guys..." But think about it, do they actually date them??? No. Are they attracted to them??? No. Women love a challenge. Jerks usually present these challenges in the most creative fashion; nice guys don't present any challenges whatsoever; thus making them fatally boring. "Bad boys" are confident in all aspects and are always unavailable. Women desire unavailable men all of the time. The main reason why women dig these guys is because these men establish THEMSELVES as the prize, not the other way around. By the way, this is true for women beyond adolescence... it is the law of attraction that applies to 16 year old girls as well as 33 year old milfs. Nice guys don't finish last... they don't finish at all! Cheers!

Psycologically speaking, most girls (teenagers) are probably in denial that they will eventually end up with a man just like their loving dad, therefore, they date the bad guys as a way to rebel. In some cases, as you said, it has to do with a girl wanting to be "the one" to make him changes his ways. That would make her feel powerful, special, and more important than other girls he's dicked over in the past. And in the case of the smart girl, she may date a chump for the sheer entertainment of it all. Perhaps she just needs a little drama and excitement in her life. Though, eventually, when a girl is ready for a real, settle-down relationship, she will make the right choice. Sometimes.

I think you've mixed up the bad guy and the guy with confidence. I like nice guys, but that nice guy has to be confident, not egotistical, assertive but not bossy, a guy that is intelligent but not shrewd, someone that can be aspiring in all he does without being pretentious. Don't give up; if you truly are a nice guy, you will find that special person, you just have to be patient. Good Luck! =P

It's not just high school girls. I'm a girl and I don't even know the answer to that. I do know that there's this guy I like he's not perfect ( he smokes cigarettes and drink) but he sweet, smart, and caring but doesn't want me.

Guys that are totally bad for girls attract us more it's true, but I grew up. Just wait and the right girl will come to you. I dont settle for anything less than a man who opens my door, complaments me, and treats me like I should. Girls grow up but not until they want to. Hang in there

You're right about most teenage girls liking assholes. In my opinion, they get the thrill trying to have the asshole change into a nice guy just for them.

deffinetly becuase you seem more masculine if you come across hard, and if you're confident in the way you act it could be a way of making the girl feel protected.
and the bad boy image would also help with the feeling protected.
personally i would prefer someone nice and trust worty.

Teenagers are more likely get in a relationship just because they want to explore and experience "things". More like what guys do.
