Kate, the question to get the attention of Jehovah's Witnesses is "Jehovah's Witnesses, how many of you are FULLY anointed?"

As opposed to the rank and file 'other sheep', who may get a PORTION of the Holy Spirit, but who do not have the 'calling' for a heavenly hope. According to the JW's, only 144.000 persons out of the billions of persons ever born, who ever lived, ever died, are destined for heaven. According to them, God's Grace is so mean, so shallow, so tiny, that only 144,000 humans will ever get to inhabit the mansions Jesus said he was preparing.

Guess what? The Watch Tower Society has convinced about 8 million people that they cannot be assured of salvation unless they are baptised as Jehovah's Witnesses.

What Jehovah's Witnesses don't understnand is that the Governing Body are preaching a gospel Jesus Christ himslef, and him reurrected, would denounce as heretical.

The New Covenant Jesus inaugurated was for EVERY ONE. Not just 144,000. Unless you are a part of this New Covenant, the shed blood of Christ DOES NOT COVER YOU. In other words, if you have bought into the Jehovah's Witness conception of a second class citizenship, you CANNOT have the assurance of salvation. You will have to work your way through today, tommorrow, Armageddon, and even then, you cannot be assured that Christ's ransom sacrifice covers you. According to the gospel of the Watch Tower Society, you will still have to earn your salvation by being obedient to them. Why? Because the Watch Tower Society told you.

Wake up! The New Testament, the Gospel message of Christ applies to YOU. Not a select few. You have been sold short. You do not have to have the approval of an unknown number of persons residing in Brooklyn, NY, NY. Just read God's Word, without questions and answers (like in a kindergarten). For crying out loud! Appeal to a higher authority - Christ, and him resurrected. Read the Book. you do not need some one else to interpret it for you. Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead you (which, by the way, is not an impersonal force, but is God With Us Now).

The only people who wish to perpetuate the idea that Jesus' words in the New Testament were written for a mere 144,000 persons are the Governing Body of the Watch Tower Society.

We are taught that the NT was written primarily for the anointed and therefore all the scripture that talk about the holy spirit and being born again and going to heaven DO NOT APPLY to those of us who are not part of the 144,000.

However we do have to follow the rules of the NT.

So, although you will have some say "NO" we do not believe this. This is indeed what we are taught. You just won't find it directly written in our publications.

As a matter of fact if a Witness were to approach another Witness and ask about a scripture such as 1 Timothy 2:5 which says " For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus"

They would be told something like this, "Well, you have to remember that the Greek scriptures were written primarily for the 144,000, so this verse does not apply to the great crowd"

If I had a nickel for everytime I heard this phrase......

Correct.

Jesus’ sacrifice was a “corresponding ransom for all.”

However, Jesus is not the mediator of all mankind. That’s because Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant and the new covenant is conducted exclusively between Jehovah and the “house of Israel.” The “Israel of God” is made up of what Paul called the “new creation.” The new creation is in reference to those who have been born again, which is to say they are anointed.

There is no such thing as being partially born again or partially anointed. One is anointed or is not anointed at all.

As for salvation, it is during the tribulation that we are tested. It is during the tribulation when the world around us falls and we are left with nothing that we call on Jehovah God for salvation or we call on the World Government for the mark of the beast.

Unlike most teachings, salvation does not occur by simply closing our eyes, clicking our heels together and say “heaven or bust”. That is why the bible says those who are meek and willing to serve Jehovah under any condition are allowed a reward.

The “meek will inherit the earth” because they do not slap God’s hand away when they do not get the reward they expect.

=Heaven or Bust=

Many of the letters were written to the Congregations in the First Century, making them part of the Anointed Class. But the things written pertain to all Christians, so all can benefit from them.

Yes.

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Christian Scriptures (the so-called "New" Testament) were written for all, and not merely for the anointed. It is surprising that anti-Witnesses continue to spread such propaganda.

Another anti-Witness ploy is to pretend that only the anointed are "children of God"; Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that either. Instead, the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses believes the bible to teach that all true Christians (those with heavenly or earthly hopes) are properly referred to as "children of God".

(Romans 8:18-22) The sufferings of the present season do not amount to anything in comparison with the glory that is going to be revealed... the creation itself also will be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the children of God. For we know that all creation keeps on groaning together and being in pain together until now.

Consider page 27 of the October 1, 2006 The Watchtower:
[quote]
God’s people have a wonderful future before them. Anointed Christians eagerly await serving with Christ in heaven, while the “other sheep” hope to “be set free from enslavement to corruption and have the glorious freedom of the [earthly] children of God.” (John 10:16; Romans 8:19-21; Philippians 3:20) That “glorious freedom” includes deliverance from sin and its horrible consequences. Indeed, Jehovah—the Giver of “every good gift and every perfect present”—would extend nothing less to his loyal ones.

it was written TO the anointed congregation and ABOUT the congregation. but, do the other sheep noted in the book of john get to enjoy the information?

sure!

you are invited to go to the kingdom hall and watch how both biblical classes work in the congregation.

and, that way, you will see why we are different, and the only religion or belief that is biblically based.

adios
