Being a TRUE Christian, I can say exactly how life changes:

It gets 300% better!

Back when I was a sinner, I used to like science, and used to believe in evolution because it just made sense. I also used to sleep around with girlfriends and have all kinds of sinful fun. I could go and watch an R rated movie and not feel guilty and I used to read psychology and philosophy.

BUT all that has changed now! I only read the Bible, because it is TRUTH CONCENTRATE! I am trying to memorize the whole thing, so my brain can be inoculated against all this LOGIC and REASON that satanic atheists keep trying to use against GOD.

I haven't had sex in three years, since I was RESCUED BY JESUS! Of course, I only study creationism now, not science, because everybody knows that Satan uses science.

He uses philosophy and psychology too, so I stopped reading that. It was making my faith weak with all the logic and reason they used.

But I know that I can't take a chance on going to Hell! So I gladly refuse to have fun - you know what the Bible says, "Sorrow may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the morning!" Psalm 30:5

So it doesn't matter that the Christian life sucks a lot, except for a lot of my friends who have done it a lot longer than I have tell me that it gets better because after awhile your brain gets a little numb to the world and all the evil and you are kinda like, "programmed" to get a kinda "high" from Jesus.

I can't wait for my Jesus HIGH!

ps. See you IN THE SKY!

Christianity is NOT perfect and you're wasting you're time since there is no heaven or hell.

Wow. I am glad you found the joy of the Lord that makes life so gooood. I do not agree that Christian life sucks though. I have a much fuller life and I experience things without the fog of drunkeness. My life now is so much more exciting and affordable. I hike in the mountains. I ride motorcycle. I raft the white water and go camping. I ride horses and round up cattle. I hunt and fish and live a very active life. I have helped to build a church from the ground up. I play guitar with a group and I do many things for the Lord like, do food drives and give out food to the hungry, I visit the jail and minister to inmates, I tell people about Jesus and right now I am coaching a High School Wrestling team and letting my light shine. My life is gggggrreat!!!

I am a Christian too and I look forward to being with the Lord also. I am glad that your life has changed because of your faith. However, I disagree with some of the things you are saying.
There is nothing that says you must limit your reading to the Bible only. Science is not a bad thing unless it directly contradicts the Word of God. You will be surprised how much of science does not. There is nothing wrong with philosophy or psychology either. When you expose yourself to something just weigh it in light of Scripture and you will be fine. We are to be in the world and not of it, but that does not mean we as Christians have to live our lives in a box.

Not

Besides all the contradictions, the massacres, dishonorable behavior and a vicious god that encourages destruction, rape and murder? Ordering the tribes to destroy entire nations so the tribes could steal the land * letting Abram pimp out his wife and then rewarding him * condemning millions to hell if they don't believe just right * killing people because they stopped the Ark from falling and breaking * and that's just the OT.

I feel sorry for you if all you read is the Bible. There's been some good literature since it was mashed together. Hopefully you meet a nice mate soon, get married and at least have sex, maybe you'll come to some common sense.

Wow. I'm not gonna congratulate you. If THIS is what you believe Christianity looks like, you are sadly off-base.

True enough, we've a standard of conduct based on and rooted in Scripture. But never have we been instructed to live in an un-intelligent, un-informed BUBBLE.

Our belief system is so much more than just a bunch of 'holier than thou' psuedo-pious drivel.

*Christians are not sinless because we accepted Jesus. We are just as much sinners as everybody else. Christians are just saved by the love of Christ.

*the Word never speaks against knowledge, indeed it ENCOURAGES us to 'study to show ourselves approved'.

Christianity is all about the journey to discovering who you are and why you were created. It does not exclude sin, nor does it require perfection.

It also does not require the sacrifice of fun, be it study, music, movies, television. It simply requires DISCERNMENT.

There is a freedom in Christ available to you.The question is whether or not you truly choose to find it.

If you're serious, I applaud your enthusiasm; if you're mocking Christians, shame on you. In any event, I'll respond as if you're honest in your statement. Like you, when I was saved I had a happiness and peace I can't describe. I felt Jesus' love and His presence. I was only fifteen but was determined to never sin again although at 15, I was an innocent child. I vowed to read my Bible every day, do good deeds and everything else that was required of me. Some 45 years later, I have to say I've not been perfect. I've committed many sins but I'm forgiven and still going to Heaven. If we could be perfect once we're saved, then it would not have been necessary for Jesus to die on the cross. In the Old Testament days, once a year the people took an animal sacrifice to the priest in atonement for their sins. God accepted the Jews' blood sacrifice and forgave them of their sins each year. When Jesus died on the cross, the veil in the temple was ripped, signifying that we now can communicate directly with God through Jesus Christ. Christ died for the sins of the whole world but in order to take advantage of His sacrifice, we have to believe that He is the Son of God and that He died for our sins. There is no way to be saved except through Christ. I believe John said in his gospel something like this: "...I would hope that you don't sin but if you do sin, you have an advocate with the Father and your Advocate is Jesus Christ who is merciful and will forgive you." I believe we'll never be perfect until we get to Heaven and God will forgive our sins through Christ if we're sorry and repent. To repent is to make a change, to go in another direction, therefore we cannot willfully sin and then think God will forgive us. We should never make light of Jesus' horrible death on the cross, we should always be thankful that He was willing to take our sins upon Himself and die in our place. We should express our thankfulness and love by trying not to sin and treating others as we would like to be treated, helping the poor, etc. It's almost Christmas and if you don't yet have the spirit of the season, buy a toy for a child in your neighborhood that won't get much for Christmas. Or buy a gift for someone in the nursing home that's going to be alone this Christmas. And if you don't have a church, go to one close to home and join in with the congregation as they sing Christmas hymns. The spirit of Christmas is not in the giving of gifts or receiving gifts, Christmas is experiencing joy, peace and love in your heart because you've helped someone who was down and out. Christmas is seeing joy on someone else's face. May God bless you this Christmas.

I would go for the 'or what' option.

Did you know that they use evolutionary theory to help develop the internet.

You better stop using that too before you get infected by the sin and start being ironic and sarcastic.

Am I lacking something right here....? all of us (toddlers, people who on no account heard of the bible, and so on) should pass to hell through fact a paranormal speaking snake confident one woman hundreds of years in the past to devour one fruit? isn't that merely slightly unfair? And what the hell became into incorrect with ingesting the fruit besides? Whats incorrect with awareness of excellent and evil? If Adam and Eve could no longer understand evil, how would desire to they comprehend that ingesting the fruit became into incorrect? optimistically your query became into merely an exceptionally extraordinary comedian tale....

Not watching R rated movies, reading only the bible, and abandoning philosophy and psychology means you're censoring yourself which isn't very logical if you want to find truth. Jesus probably isn't real, you're probably bi-polar. This is so stupid it makes me want to vomit. This has to be a joke, right...?

LOL This is one of the funniest posts I've ever seen here.

You really have a weird perception of how christians live and how much they enjoy life. Good thing you're not bitter about people who choose to believe and live differently than you do... ;-)
