We gave manager gift for X-mas... He REFUSED to go present with team...

Manager gives gifts to us individually. He hands his to him, and my rude co-worker says thank you & puts it on the desk.

Meanwhile all other team members are in a group behind him with manager opening theirs and commenting on them. He remained seated, back turned doing his "work" .It remains wrapped on his desk right now & he insists it will stay that way out on display unwrapped until the day he leaves the company.

A bit much?

I'm not surprised. There is always one of these people in every company :)

He may be a scrooge but is well within his rights to be that way. You don't have to participate in gift giving, especially for a supervisor and you don't have to open your gifts and coo just because everyone else is. This person obviously does not want to socialize at work so let them be.

Christmas gifts are not mandatory.

More than a BIT I would think. This guy certainly is not a team player. Perhaps he doesn't celebrate Christmas or is just inviting a pink slip. I imagine none of you would be sad to see him go. And if he can't be civil, he needs to go!

Not in my opinion. Holidays do not change my opinion of others or how I act towards them. Everyone seems to get nicer closer to Christmas, hmmm. fakes or not is the question.. I am not fake.. Don't get upset and hate me for this answer.. It is only how i feel.

Obviously, he doesn't like his boss. The best thing to do is to ignore him and not comment on this. He's looking for a show, but don't give it to him.

He's more ignorant than rude!!

He'll probably be gone soon.

Sounds like a drama queen to me. The sooner he quits or gets fired, the better for all of you.

I think that he's totally rude and you need to just ignore him. Be glad that you aren't like him and that you're the better person!!
