do the words... "sitting in Judgement" mean anything to you?

Im guessing to keep people from falling asleep. but that doesnt really work when the bald guy with a robe and a monotenous voice is speaking like he's half awake and half asleep.

seriously, if they dont sound passionate or like they care then why should we?

and as far as this whole, "it would steal the soul of the church"
just about all of them have speakers hidden inside and "a building is a building, the people in it are what make a church" right?

They weren't meant to be like courtroom benches. People need somewhere to sit during the sermon...LOL!

My church actually has padded chairs and they're quite comfortable.

In most churches today it is done for ease of getting your money by passing the plate, just as it is when you go to court it's all about money. Churches should be a place to worship GOD, and JESUS, but they have turned into a den of crooks, and liars..

I'm sure most people in church are judging each other over who is more Christian than the other, so I guess it's fitting that it shares a similar setting (no pun) with a court room. A whole lot of judging goes on at both locations ;)

They are just a place to sit for a time. Not to sleep or relax. They both require paying attention to the program at hand.

Nevertheless, both have the kjv 1611, the courtroom and the church

in the case of churches i guess god is judging you?
i wonder how would Jesus think about churches!
i don't see any rationality to spend so much money building a large house to warship god since one can be closer to god outdoors in nature ! peace

I had a pretty comfy chair last time I was in court.
