i just wanted to know if you can update the ps3 with a psp memory card if so how

Easy. Download the update with your PC. Connect your PSP to PC with USB -> miniB cable (the one you charge your PS3 controller with). PC will recognize PSP as USB drive. Create folder named PS3 on PSP. In this folder create folder named UPDATE. Put an update into this folder. Plug your PSP inti PS3. Choose Update via Storage. Run update.
P.S. Download an update from corresponding site. US PS3 - US site, etc.
