I served my time and I salute you!

What the military provides is a safe haven for ignorant loons to call those who serve all kinds of bad names. They have no clue that if it weren't for you all, they would probably be speaking German!

Oh, but them have the courage to wear the uniform? Hell NO!

Don't even sweat it.

We are "afraid" to serve in the military because we do not want to lose our lives for a war that we don't support. Personally, however, I would never criticize or disrespect any soldiers who are doing what we are too "afraid" to do. It is the war I don't support, not the soldiers.

Thank You for your service, and God Bless.

i can relate to that..i served 10 yrs in the u,s,navy..and 18 months in vietnam..back then i think all servicemen were hated...thanks to the radicals and so called flower people...i for one was proud to serve and wore my uniform proudly and often..i dispise the chickens and cowards that put down any military serviceman and women...unless you have been in an actual war and on the front lines in the heat of battle and pressure you have no idea what is going to happen next..one day you are a hero..the next day you are scared and shaking in your boots..being scared 24/7 does a lot to a person...when i came home i jumped at almost any noise...i flew several missions in a hilocopter squadron..you never know when its your turn..war is actualy hell..its easy to ***** about something in the comfort of your house...try being in a war zone and watching a buddy get his right in front of you..or a hilocopter full of servicemen going down in front of you and you cant do a d@mn thing about it...you dream about this all the time..forever..

People follow the media, whatever they hear on tv is gospel. My father was a Sargeant and I have respect for all men and women that serve. The people that disrespect you or criticize you are the same people that disrespect our country and its leaders. It's sad that people in the United States fly all other flags but not the American one. It's a disgrace.

is not that they're afraid per se as rather been seen as unpatriots.9/11 was an outside threat. our servicemen have acted in such professional way that many anti war groups can't blame the troops for all that is happening. the troops morale is high, the surge worked and many simply won't trust the ordinary media when they can simply look in a military blog and tell you how it's really happening. there is no draft and therefore, no reason to get involved unless you want to. many are volunteering but the anti war groups call em brainwashed. i know that war is not pretty. i feel that it is my duty to do my part.

thanks for your service and see ya soon

These "people" are afraid of the unknown and
have absolutely NO knowledge or understanding of the US Military and the Freedoms that they
underestimate and enjoy due to the fact that there are MEN and WOMEN who have sacrificed themselves so that these "people" can enjoy the freedoms of this great country.

I served in the U.S.Navy from 1985-1989 and in the reserves for five years after that.

I don't criticize the soldiers for all they are doing is following orders.

Because the people you refer to have been spoiled their whole life. Their actions are made possible by what the armed forces have done, yet they always think that it could have been done in a better way. Whether that is true or not doesn't matter becuase like you said they aren't the ones getting it done, they just are the ones sitting on the couch and complaing.

Because they are ignorant cowards. Many feel threatened by servicemen and women because they are strong, self assured, able to take care of themselves. They make their detractors look like weak and indecisive whiners, relying on the government for everything as they are too incompetent or lazy to do for themselves.

Because a lot of people can remain anonymous behind the safety of their keyboard. As someone else pointed out, it advances their agenda.
Let me tell you what I'd like to do to those who protest at Soldier's funerals. The irony is, had it not been for that soldier and all those before them, these insane protesters would not be able to even protest.
