Sure... God knows everything.
As we all know there are extremes of bad examples of everything out there.
While John Holmes has free will to do what he wants/wanted... Perhaps God knew that he would make an excellent example of how strong temptations are, and how some people fall into it.
Lust, Money, Envy to name a few.
You may want to make a special note of *Envy. :)

God gives each of us gifts and talents and it is up to each one if they will use their gifts to glorify God. Most people use their gifts for personal gain.

He was just a freak of nature--I'm sure there are many more, but they keep their attributes to themselves.
All I know is, there IS such a thing as too much of a good thing. Ouch.
