Lord is a title just as Queen is a title. Jehovah is God's name just as Elizabeth is the Queens name.
In the old King James bible it tells you there hundreds of times that God's name is Jehovah. It was removed from the bible so that people would think Jesus was God. He was the son of Jehovah God.

I might be the 20th person to tell you this, but GOD is a title, not a name. Man invented the word to try to define the undefinable.
God is above and beyond all that we can ever wish, or even imagine. Christians pray in the name of Jesus, the Greek translation of his Son's worldly Hebrew name (because the New Testiment is in Greek to teach a faith, that originated in the Middle East, to spread the good news to the nearest European neighbours).
Some may call the living God by various names, but His chosen people, the Hebrews, believe it is offensive for a mere man to speak the name of God. Consider that when you seek His name.
When we get to heaven, He will teach us how to say His name, if he even has a name. God refers to himself in the bible as "I am", so he may be waiting for us to name Him.
He is the great "I AM"!!! He is the ONLY true God, yet he has three forms...Father, Son and Holy Spirit ... that talk to each other.
Jesus prayed to "the Father", and the Holy Spirit translates our prayers to the Father, into the TRUE desires of our hearts. The bible says He will give you the desires of your heart!
If you accidentally mis-speak during a prayer, either deceptvely or by accident, your true prayer is what "the Father" hears, and answers.
If you pray for something that your inner self knows you should not have, your words cannot prompt God to give it to you against your best interests!

God is a generic term.
Zeus is a god.
Thor is a god.
Shiva is a god.
Yahweh is a god.
The earliest written form of the word "god" comes from 6th century Germany. In the proto-Germanic form the word roughly means, 'to invoke', or 'to call'.
The monotheistic religions such as Judaism, Islam, Christianity etc, capitalize the name in an attempt to corner the market on god and to distinguish between monotheistic deities and the pantheistic deities. The god of Christianity and Judaism is known as Yahweh. Islam - Allah. However, they are all essentially the same god, all Abrahamic in origin. Yahweh evolved over time, absorbing many attributes of earlier Canaanite gods and goddesses. He is the great "I AM" or "I AM WHAT I AM". Basically, another way of telling people to shut up and stop questioning his origins.
Thomas: "Gee, Yahweh, your attributes are an awful lot like Baal's... Why so many similarities? And speaking of Baal, where is he..?"
Yahweh: " I am what I am - now shut up or I'll turn you into a pile of salt! I am an impotently wrathful god with a paucity of self confidence!"
EDIT: According to the answer provided by shark e, gods name is hello... "are father who are in heaven, hello be thy name"
Hahaha. I think you mean hallowed, buddy. As in worthy of respect and veneration, holy etc..

The church is named after God's name.
2 Samuel 7th chapter. The son is God's people the
Christians. The church is Jesus Christ.
Jehovah means that to become.
So God created heaven and earth by Jesus Christ.
Jesus is Jehovah.
Jesus is him self because the old T says that God alone
Created everything by him self.

The word 'God' is not a name, just like the king's name is not 'king' or the prime minister's name is not prime minister. It is a title indicating a position. The position of God is that he is absolute, He is eternal. He does not have a beginning so there can be no question of suddenly being given a name or introducing Himself to anyone else. Everyone else is subordinate to Him. There is no difference between His name and His identity they are one & the same. Our names and our selves are different, we are in illusion, He is not subject to that illusion, He is God, the supreme person.
Your question presupposes that He has a beginning but being God means He is eternal. He has many different names according to His different aspects. However , in the vedic scriptures it is declared that their is one name above others and that is 'Krishna' the supreme. It is a deep subject but if you are interested you should read 'Bhagavad Gita(song of God) as it is' by His divine grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

God is a translation; it's a noun rather than a name.
So "God" is no more the name than "Mr. President" is an actual name.
The actual name of God is one of those oft debated theological things that no one's really sure about. Some claim his name is the entirety of the Torah spoken aloud as a single word, some say it's three Hebrew letters, some say it's Jehovah, and most admit to not really knowing, and that it really doesn't matter.

God is a title not a name. His name is YHWH - Yahweh or Jehovah. Psalms 83:18 says: That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
