Does anybody know if it'd work or if it would peel?

Soak the newspaper in milk of magnesia. This will keep it from yellowing. Then apply to walls with wallpaper paste. Seal with varnish.

It works, You make a mixture of 1/2 glue and 1/2 water and brush on the paper and place on wall. Use squeegee if you want a smooth surface or just place on wall wrinkles and all for texture. Once you are finished let it dry for two days. Then by a sealant like a matt poly and brush over it.

Works fine and lasts as long as you do not TRY to peel it!

It wont last but a year at best. Newspaper yellows with age
