Hi there!
I would highly suggest following your doctor's orders. Birthing a child is very hard on a woman's pubic area and that area needs time to adequately heal. If you attempt to have any sort of sexual contact, you may risk causing more internal and/or external damage, tearing stitches and possibly causing infection. It would be best to wait the recommended time before engaging in sexual activity.
Also, women are most fertile right after they give birth (for quite a few months thereafter as well) so when your doctor gives you the "ok" to begin having sex again, make sure you use protection to avoid pregnancy until your body can heal and regenerate. I'm sure your doctor will address this with you during your follow up visits.
Much luck and congratulations on your new little bundle of joy!! :)

All the best I wish you happy and healthy hoiday and blessings of joy and health to you and your son....Yes you should wait the 6 weeks !!!!
But There are no hard and fast rules about when desire will return or when to resume your sex life - it varies for different people. While the general opinion is that sex can resume as soon as you feel physically and emotionally ready, it's probably best to seek the advice of your doctor or obstetrician before you leave hospital.
Remember it's not just you that might not feel like making love! You need to talk to your partner about when each of you is ready to resume sex. It's also a good idea to address any other problems you may be experiencing together.
Resuming sex has its advantages. The hormones released during sex cause contractions that will help the uterus to return to it's normal state, and of course, returning to a physical relationship can be good to renew the physical and emotional closeness between you and your partner.

You need to wait till at least 6 weeks. That way your body has time to heal after the stiches and the tramatic things that happened from delivery. Trust me after I had my kids that is all I wanted to do, but I waited until 7 weeks just to make sure everything was ok.
At least wait till you have your post-delievery check up with your doctor to see if it is ok for you to be intimate again.
Hang in there girl!!!!

i would follow your doctors orders. I know of a lot of people who were really scared and uncomfortable having sex even after the 6 weeks. I would say by the 4th or 5th week if you feel comfortable, you could give it a shot as long as you're VERY gentle.

because of the fact the girl in many cases has her submit-infant verify-up at around 6 weeks. on the verify-up the wellness practitioner or midwife will learn her and be confident that each little thing has healed because it would desire to have. (many women folk do not wait the completed 6 weeks. If she has stopped bleeding (meaning the cervix is closed) and feels as much because it, it extremely is in many cases risk-free to renew sexual activities as quickly as she feels in a position.
