Sandwell:

Cider is not beer!

OK, I go that out of the way. I'm going to say.... Boddingtons. I don't know. First thing that came to mind.

Edit:

Lips - A tipple is an alcoholic drink. I do however agree that American micro brews need to be defended. Unfortunately, most are not available in Europe (assuming that is where he is since he used the English term "tipple" in the question) at this time. All most Europeans know about American beer are the big three crap factories. Michael Jackson (The Beer Hunter) one more than one occasion called American "the best beer country in the world!"

He means trippel, a form of Belgian beer. You people that make fun of American beers are only half right. Half of American beers are crappy, the other half are some of the best in the world. Us homebrewers can make beer that rivals and is better than anything else you can purchase on this green planet.

As for guessing your favorite TRIPPEL, I don't think anybody really cares. I don't even want to venture to guess, I just wanted to defend American microbrews.

The lesson here is when you think of American beer, please don't lump us all into the "Bud Coors Miller" crowd as that beer is plain garbage. Not all of us drink garbage. I in fact make my own beer, and my APA (American Pale Ale) has been one of the most welcomed beers in my city.

It would depend on where you live:

If your in the States I would say water beer. LOL
If your in Canada some Sleemans or Molson. Or one of many great microbrews that Canada has to offer.

If your in Europe Guiness, Hieneken, Becks, or maybe some other great ale or lager you fancy.

I'm Canadian.
