Whenever the cat is doing something bad, spray it with a water bottle & keep the water bottle on the table. Eventually it will equate the bottle as bad, and wills top jumping on the table.

You will also eventually be able to take the bottle off the table, once it gets out of the habit of jumping on it.

This WILL keep your cat from going on the table - put sticky tape down sticky-side up on the table. Try a spot first to see if it will take off any finish, or leave a residue behind. As long as your ok on those parts, keep the edges of the table covered in sticky tape for about a month or so. Eventually, the cat won't want to go on the table anymore.

If the sticky tape can't work, say it leaves a residue, try using tin foil. Tin foil has a weird feel under their paws, and it makes noise when they jump on it, and cats don't like that either.

You get a spray bottle or a water pistol, and every single time that he/she jumps up on that table you give him/her a squirt and say, in a voice saved just for this word, "NO!" And when you're not home, keep the kitchen door closed, if that's possible.

I used to have the same problem!! :D

This may sound weird, but I sorted it out by putting a bowl or oranges on my kitchen counter, something to so with the citrus smell deterred her! :)

You may not want to add friut to your table, so if not I would do what Steven M said. :D

Good luck. I know it can be a pain in the a**!

Cat's are the opposite of dogs e.g. You cannot train the cat, the cat trains you. Although you could try taking him/her outside and shouting NO everytime this happens.

Sternly say NO! when you catch her doing it.
Set up a perch, the like to sit and relax high off the ground so they can watch everything.
