Are the atheists afraid? No, they certainly don't.
Did you know that Atheism is a religion in itself?
I was an atheist a good while ago. Just because bible is so much advertised and christians want it to be the 'ONLY BOOK', and in present society, so as for up to 5 (or take a guess) centuries going, -- advertising REALLY works very well. It just attracts the attention of the masses. So, what could be the better pick for Atheists or any other?
No other religious book ever demanded that much of a pathetic need for Ultimate and Undivided attention!
Why not to support this practice? It's a freedom of speach after all. So, atheists just respond to the best adverts naturally.
Now, please - you can direct all your anger at me by all means.

What was the question?
What was written in the additional details?
Was it an actual question, or was it preaching?
Was the question itself a legitimate question, and then the additional details were full of insults?
(Whatever it is, it had nothing to do with atheists being "afraid". That's ridiculous. What do they have to be afraid of?)
I can't guess why the question was deleted, because I haven't seen it. I'm curious to know how you know it was atheists that reported the question. Do you get some list that the rest of us aren't privy to?

So simply put, why do Christians report atheists for quoting the Bible and asking questions? Is that because it hits too close to home? Are Christians afraid? I have had some of my questions reported, for no other reason than questioning the Bible and have friends who have had it happen to them as well. It is unfortunate when people report stuff for stupid reasons, all because they are afraid.

The Answers support staff doesn't have time to weed out "invalid" reporting. In addition to that, I'm not sure what you're talking about.

You are probably directing your anger in the wrong place.
I have found that most of the reporting is done, by religious people of faith who don't agree with answers or questions. Ask yourself if your question, could have been argued or disagreed by someone of faith with a differing view, and you will have found the true culprit.
Afterall Atheists come hear to answer your questions and ask our own, not silence you.

There are numerous mistakes in the Bible (Who did Adam & Eve's children have children with?). Some people are mistakenly under the impression that they will be punished for realizing that.

Your paranoia is typical of a people who have their minds conditioned to believe things that are unproven.
I have had plenty of sound, reasonable questions deleted also.
Questions that illustrate the absurdity of religious belief.
Personally, I think that there should be ZERO censorship.
