Robert, What if you are special? What are you robbing the world of if you are not being what you are made to be?

Bregweidd, why would you be harsh on yourself? This is the reason I asked the question. Most of us are harsh on ourselves, and I think that such a view holds us back.

oooooolala, if you see yourself as a sinner, don't you think that would hinder you from becoming resistant to sin?

Deep breath. Another.

There is this huge great incredible God-person here writing this. The piece of God that I am is inventive, creative, faithful, compassionate, wise, strong, intelligent, understanding, orderly, aware, Christ-centered and directed.

I'm a practicing disciple of Jesus of Nazareth. I'm part of the great educational movement he began. I am an overcomer. I am an innocent child whose heart is open wide.

I practice impenetrable vulnerability as my Master and Brother and Savior teaches and demonstrates.

When I forget the Truth of my being I behave less than I really am. When I remember the Truth, that I am in the image and likeness of God, then I soar with wings as eagles. Holy Spirit moves me about and I am amazed at how all is set before me, without effort.

This is high minded talk here, but within the framework of your Q. And, to the best of my ability, daily, I walk this talk.
Practice makes better. And it's all practice to me.

And I will answer the 'other two' when I find them.

Blessings for a great Q :)

I don't take the anointing of Kingship lightly. I am learning each day what it means to rule and reign as I prepare for the coming of Christ Jesus. I cannot view myself any differently than how my Father sees me and even though there are days that I do not follow suit as to the divine office I have been called, the proof is in me and God, my Father loves me unconditionally and even if my view seems greater to anyone else, Jesus Christ my brother bears witness than I AM who He says I am and He is the Judge of all the earth so even if I doubted, His Spirit in me will never say anything differently. A king I have been anointed and a king I will reign and Christ is my Glory and the Crowns that He one day will give me, I will lay them all back down at His feet! For I am nothing without Him...

(((Caveman))), interesting questions! :-)

As a sinner... But also as a born again, child of God. A vessel to be filled by His Holy Spirit and to be used in powerful ways for His purpose and to His glory.

I can only see myself through Jesus. If I take away His sacrifice from my life and soul--I've lost everything. Then I would be nothing. He, and He alone, makes me what I am--how I view myself--and thus how others view me because of the way I strive to live for Him out of love for what He's done for me.

**********************Addition**********************
"If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8.

The reason I never want to forget I am a sinner (who is forgiven and saved by God's grace alone) is to remain humble just as King David did. If we ever forget where we came from--our History as it were--we are likely to return.

If one studies things like the reason for the fall of Roman Empire they could see in that History where America is today. If we learn from History (ours or others) we can more fully depend on God and keep from stumbling again.

Since I was born again, I continued to cry out to the Lord about my sins. Regarding one of the sins I was crying out to Him about; the Lord showed me that the antidote to the sin of pride is to walk in humbleness. Realizing the *only* way I can be anything is because He blessed me--so abundantly--all the way.

In and of myself I am a sinner. In and of Him I am saved through His Grace (Jesus' death and resurrection) and His payment for my sins on the cross.

That's the reasoning for my answer anyway. ;-)

I know my view of myself is a bit harsh

The reality is what you make it.
Self adoration is okay if it does not over shadow self actualization.

I love myself enough to love others with all my heart.
The best part, when your "healthy" in your head, you don't give a Rat's backside what other's think about you.

I view myself as God views me. Noone else determines my value or worth . Only God has that. God tells me that once born again, I am in the image of Him, that I am born again, a new creation man, an overcomer in Christ Jesus. I am no longer of the old fallen sin nature, and I am commanded to be liek and live like, and think like Jesus Christ, and we have now the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us and empower us to do all that God calls us to do, to live out His commands as we are in service to Him for the rest of our life. Jesus heals, saves and delivers. Yes, and for the ways I fall short, God loves me enough to keep me on the right path as He is showing me just what I must do and not do to be fully His.
Only thru obedience will we receive of His many blessings.
I may not have reached perfection yet, as none of us have. B ut, I also know I am a child of God, and I am on the right path and He will get me the rest of the way thru, till He will see me as blameless, without spot, even tho I wont see it myself.
I know I am on the right path with GOd, the straight and narrow way that leads to kingdom living here and now, and heading right to the Kingdom of Heaven, where I will live there as I live her now,, but without the stuff of other ppl that wont live for God.
No more tears, only joy and love and peace forever.
I see myself saved, healed, delivered, and on the right path with God, and I know if I continue to love and obey Him, I remain in His abiding care, and HE can get me thru anything. All things are possible with God, but when one walks in sin, blessings are removed, and nothing is truly possible, as you are out of the will of God.
Lets all run to Jesus today, as fast as we can.
and as we celebrate Jesus' b/day today, lets be sure we truly celebrate Jesus . HE is the reason for the season, and for every season. HALLELUJAH>
Thanks, caveman. God bless you.

From what people that are close to me tell me, my opinion of myself is much lower than others' opinions of me. I tend to be really hard on myself.
