In this dream, I was laying on my bed looking at my laptop when my boyfriend's cell phone received a text message from a woman named Jeanette. I read the message and it was lewd. I went into my living room to ask him about it and he tried to take the phone from me. I ran into my bathroom and locked myself in. Rushing to go through the text messages while he beat the door in. He was pounding against the wood, breaking through. I opened the door and pushed against him screaming that I wanted to know who this person was and what was going on. He said "No, it will hurt you." I asked him if he was seeing her to which he replied very calmly "yes." I fell to the floor sick and sobbing and he left.

Okay, what is this? Waking up feeling like I've been gutted by my boyfriend every night isn't working for me anymore.

Just how much validity and symbolism can dreams have? What does this mean? How do I stop it?

your dream indicates that you dont trust him, your subconsious mind is picking up on clues that you are missing

he maybe cheating or you may be scared that he might be cheating, but you cant trust that he isnt really cheating (or doing something else)

you need to force yourself to be more aware of him and what is going on during the hours you are awake, try to notice if there is anything going on that could make you feel like you cant trust him, if there is, then talk to him about it

your mind is screaming at you to pay attention, so do it the favor of listening

What I don't understand is why you have this apparent type of connection with your boyfriend in your sleep. I would wonder what type of relationship you have with him during the day when awake. Is he easy to communicate with, or do you end up holding in your feelings, only to have them be expressed in your dreams. Interpreting dreams without background imformation is difficult. Everyone creates different pictures in their dreams to represent the spiritual connections they are working through. So one must interpret with the uniqueness of the individual and their situation involved. I guess you have work to do on your relationship, hopefully you can open better emotional channels with him.

I understand completely I have dreams like that as well, but the only difference is that I caught my boyfriend cheating and once i caught him the dreams stopped.

I think you should pay close attention to your dreams they really are trying to tell you something.

it means that there might be something coming up soon in real life that might separate you a bit. whether or not it involves another woman, it's gonna be something relationship damaging. so i say keep your eyes open and watch out for certain things about him that change. if they change. other than that, you're good. just follow your gut and intuition.
