It means you have definitely hit the child too hard and no child should EVER be slapped across the face.

If anyone thinks it's ok to slap someone in the face well,to be perfectly honest they would need to be a bit off their rocker. Thanks for pointing out children don't have the same rights as adults something should be done about that. Children are human beings too and deserve more protection than adults not less.

the child may have experienced partial complex seizures a form of epilepsy take them to a pediatric neurologist to be evaluated. Also the parent needs to learn to calm down before resorting to violent outbursts. Hitting wont solve the problem it just creates more drama.

there is probably a neurological issue and the slap either triggered a reaction or had nothing to do with it btw slapping is not a last resort its usually a disgruntled parent if you hit slap yourself first

if someone you know did that than it means they need to be locked up. it means that they hit the child so hard that it damaged a nerve and that child will now probably have lifelong problems.

that you should get them to a hospital asap or call 911!!!
if the slap was hard enough it could cause sbs.....
