Soo sometimes when i breath i get these really sharp pains on my left side, starting underneath my armpit straight down my ribs, it only hurts when i inhale and usually lasts about 10 seconds or more.. it only happens once or twice a month but its happening more frequently than it used to.. i have a dr appointment Friday but any other help is appreciated, thanks :)

for years i had a similar situation. at times the pain got so bad i thought i was having a heart attack. years went by and no doc. could diagnose me right. about a year ago it got unbearable ended up at the er. finally they prescribed the little purple pill. no more pain under my ribs

I also have that problem,The pain can also be in my back or the middle of my chest.My Dr.told me it was pleurisy,inflammation of the membrane that lines your chest cavity.The best of luck to you

i had that once. i don't really remember but i was like gasping for breath becasue i ignored it. but don't worry, you'll be fine.
