Been known this girl for a while. We are both single and I've always liked her. Lately I've been throwing her signals by inviting her places and texting her more often. She declined the invitations with valid reasons, plus her friend told me that she really wanted to go, but couldn't. I'm not positive she's in to me or not. I have not sensed any clear signals. Do you think she would find it odd if I gave her a gift? Nothing expensive or fancy. Just to let her know I'm thinking of her.

Of course! She'll think that's really sweet! But be sure NOT to get her any jewelery. Girls sometimes think that's kinda weird if they're not dating the guy in question. Just buy her something relatively small but very sweet. It sounds like she really likes you!

Yes, gifts are always great. Like you said, they don't have to be expensive or flashy. But, if you put some thought into it, and got her something she needs, it would show you care and pay attention to her. Even if its simple like flowers or whatever, it shows you care and are thinking about her, which should make any woman happy, (I hope). So I say go for it, even if it doesn't work out, its better to take a chance and see.

Give her a romantic gift! Like a promise ring or some thing she likes. If shes not into you and you go way over the top she might feel out of place, like you have crossed the friendship boundary.

Why would it not feel weird to just give some random friend a gift? I think, your thinking to much about getting a gift. Just give her a gift.

I thik a small gift would be appropriate. It's the though that counts. Nothing expensive. Keep it simple.

I would, but be careful to keep it simple and freindly and not expensive or fancy as you say. I would steer clear of jewlery.
