I'm hosting x mas this year and making turkey, perogies with sauce, cabbage rolls, mashed potato's, neleshnika (spelled wrong) and I need a veggie plate? I don't know what to make? or how to make it?
We are having my parents who are very picky with veggies, they only like your typical, carrots,pee's,brocoli....nothing exotic or too spicey.
HELP?

When i was little my mother used to trick me and my sister into eating Turkey by saying it was a "Large chicken"
We learned to love turkey and eat it every year !

Get a vegetable that looks like your typical carrots, peas etc...
Tell them you got them down at the fruit and veg market and they ate extremely nice.

If that doesn't work why not have a side salad or small buffet of the vegetables they like so they can pick and choose.

My former mother in law made an amazing broccoli caserole. You take broccoli flourettes, steam them. Make a white sauce (like knorrs) and some chedder cheese, not too much so it is not thick. Put the sauce, broccoli, and if you like crubled bacon and sliced mushrooms in it, bake. Probably on 350 for about 25 minutes, to heat through. The sprinkle more chedder on top. My kids hate broccoli, but love this! I am making it this year for my parents.

How about experimenting with an exotic veggie and having a classic veggie dish too? You could do something out of the ordinary for everyone to try, and then do your classic corn/peas/carrots/broccoli if they don't want to step "outside the box."
