"Are Christians asking to be kicked?"
Yes.
And it's simply not true that "most people hate Jesus Christ". That's utterly ridiculous, and you know it.

The answer is that 'most people' DON'T hate Christians and most Christians aren't hated! What many people dislike is the attitude that SOME Christians seem to have that they 'know it all'; that they are 'better' than the poor souls who aren't Christian and that their life's work is to force other people become Christians (for their own good, of course). By that attitude some of them create that feeling of 'something to be kicked' about themselves.
Let us be clear. Muslims do not hate Jesus. In fact, they regard him as a major prophet. Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and Buddhists do not hate Jesus. Those that know about him and have studied his life will tell you that they very much respect him and find his teachings in accordance with the best of their religions.
The issue, I think, is about those that SAY they represent Jesus (by proclaiming that they are Christians). Very often, the things they do and the way they behave are not what Jesus would have done or how he would have dealt with a situation.

Depends on the Christian, I suppose. In parts of the world where the believers are living the way they should, people hate them because they hate Jesus. Jesus told us this would happen, remember? He said that they will hate us, but they hated Him first of all. However, over here where every dog and his brother is a Christian and many who profess to be so aren't born again at all, people hate Christians because so many are hypocrites. It does seem like whether you're a really good true Christian, or you're a hypocrite, you just can't win. People will hate you either way. I figure, I may as well just do my best for the Lord, and live in such a way that the only reason people dislike me is because I am a Christian rather than becuse I am a jerk or a hypocrite. Make sense?

People don't hate Jesus Christ at all. HE WAS A GREAT TEACHER! No-one hates him.
'Christians'?...(the one's who are followers of Christ?)
Don't think that the true followers of Christ's teachings would be anything like interfereing with others' beliefs.
If some think they are hated by others - then they are the ones who are capable of that much hate for different religions and other peoples' beliefs.
Why they want to advertise so much, and shout in every corner, and convert as many as they can to their "flock"? Are they in panick of being overthrown? You know, most of others don't mind what you believe. I trust that they must grow up and admit to themselves that they will never convert anyone who is faithful to their own God and their own religion.
A lot of things in christianity are ture but old, very old, known by other religions maybe for ages. Did you know that christianity is a relatevely new thing with the Bible-book, etc.,? And that so many truths have been borrowed by writers of the bible from some other authors of long ago? (and distorted by the way).
Okay, you might disagree though - investigate for yourself, if you wish to find the truth.
So, when ALL christians as a group learn to respect others' rights to believe whatever they do (like some of christians that I know, who are good and open-minded people) - there will be no more question like that existing about hating them any more.
Did any christian ever asked oneself - why there is no such question stands for other religions?

If I posted anything remotely "out there", Christians will be on it in a second, with horrible spelling and attacks talking about how I'll burn in hell. I've been raised as an Orthodox Christian (family converted to Catholicism while I decided I don't believe in any of this). I recognize that most of this is a huge fallacy and it's discriminatory to dislike Christians over a few (more than a few) of their ignorant members, but it just happens so often! I do not want any of this shoved down my throat any longer. I don't try to convert them into atheism, so leave me alone too.

I'm a christian. It's not that they hate jesus. It's that they hate the missionaries that go all over and tell people that their religion is wrong and that they'll go to hell if they don't find jesus and god. I would hate people like that too. If they just went around doing good deeds and then told the people that they were helping that they would later being talking to people about their religion and the kind of god that would sent them out to help the less fortunate and that they hope they show up to listen, then they would probably get a warmer reception.

Most other parts of the world that hate Christians also hate Western Civilization, and they connect the two together.
Or, if you are thinking most people in general hate Christians as opposed to just in certain parts of the world, probably because they are viewed as entering other people's business in alot of cases, both in a political way and in a personal way. Just my guesses, though.

Wow, I hear that from the Muslims too...
Funny how the Buddhists don' get disagreement so much. I wonder if it has anything to do with fact that Islam and Christianity are both fundamentally intolerant of other beliefs, and actively slander and libel people of no-faith or other faiths?
I don't hate Christians, or Jesus. Or Muslims. Or Mohammed.
I just don't like being 'marked' by them. I also don't like their holding the world to ransom by their primitive patriarchal Middle-Eastern superstitions and mutual hatred.
BTW, where is your proof that 'most parts of the world hate Christians'?

I'm perfectly fine with most orthodox christians in my country cause they do nothing to upset anybody, with their beliefs. But I have a problem with the missionaries who are a bit too inisistent (some of them leave right away if I tell them I am not interested but others don;t) and generally I think it is only logic to have a problem with people telling me that I am going to hell. That is why a lot of people hate christians. I have to add I admire very much Jesus , if he was real then he was a great and very wise man.

Most people don't hate Christians personally, they hate the behaviors that some Christians exhibit. Selfish, self promoting, greedy, egotistical. self righteous, and bigoted behaviors by some Christians reflect poorly on what the religion is supposed to be about.
Most people don't hate Jesus who is called Christ. They just don't believe he is what Christians claim he is. Non belief is not hate, it is simply non belief.

No, I don't think the majority hate Jesus. They hate the followers. Many Christians tend to be stubborn, set in their ways, and narrow minded. It usually drives other people insane when they make a statement and have it attacked by a Christian.
I'm a Catholic, by the way.
