There are no hard and fast rules in atheism, but a great many feel that if wars are about religion, then doing away with religion would be a great start.
ALL religions, not just Christianity.
But the reality is, governments and institutions would still operate the same way without religion. In matters of war, religion is a red herring.
A great many also do not believe in anything supernatural or the afterlife. They seem to be entirely individualistic, and feel that they have the entire truth.

You don't spell it with a capital a for a start ;).
You haven't really indicated what you want to know - however inputting atheism into google brings up lots of links
Rally Za you don't think the lack of evidence for something existing is not a good reason to believe that it doesn't

Many people here have made a very important and valid point. The only thing, by definition, atheists have in common is they don't believe in any deity. After that, it is all individuals. We may have similar points of view about many things, but there are no labels, other than atheists, that encompass all of us. Even the term atheist means slightly different things to different people. There are basically "levels", if you will, of atheists based on their strength of disbelief. Most all of us are open to specific questions via here or emails. Good luck.

Atheism is the most moral and responsible way to live life, if God does not exist.
Given the lack of evidence for the existence of God and the historical results of faith based belief, I believe that it should be seriously considered by most humans.
Here is a great site that will give you a bunch of quotes and reference material, good luck on your paper and keep learning.

We don't believe in any god. After that we are on our own. It's going to be a pretty short essay.

You're not trying very hard.
Email me if you have a SPECIFIC question.
Or read "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins.
Or, "google" Dawkins videos.

Atheism: lack of belief in deities.
(That's all we have in common.)
Beyond that: The different types of atheists. Agnostic atheist, militant atheist, etc.

Nothing I have seen from the atheists has ever been a good reason not to believe. They choose not to believe, just as believers choose to believe.
Both positions are a position of faith.
