For the last few nights I have been dreaming about people and demonic "things" trying to kill, hurt and harm me and my family. We have been having to hide and run from them and honestly I'm waking up feeling like I have not slept. I never have these types of dreams so I'm trying to figure out why I'm having them all of a sudden. Nothing major has happened. My kids are healthy. I have the same job, same school, same spouse, same house. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Does this time of year bring up bad memories of the past. Could the dream refer to your past life, and not your current family.
Going for the obvious, has your diet changed. Are you eating a lot of sweets or things that may affect your brain chemistry and your dreams?
As a parent, you are constantly on guard against things that might hurt your family. You may be traveling in the future and are a bit worried about the dangers involved with ordinary travel.
Do you have to see someone during that Holidays that upsets you, and interferes with your peace of mind and the peace of your home?
I know I ask questions, more than I give answers, but no one can tell you what your dream means. They can only lead you to a place where you can find the meaning as it applies to you.

You might want to examine your life and see if there are any fears and worries which are troubling you. Demons can inspire nightmares through the fears, worries, and concerns you have in you life. Last night, I fell asleep on the floor and I felt a presence cover me like a blanket. I did not realize I was sleeping, but I thought I was a wake. This presence started making a growling noise like a panther. I could not see it and then I saw what looked like the outline of a panther. I was trying to say in the Name of Jesus Christ and this presence did not want me to say it. And, when I did, it left and I woke up.

Nightmares are mostly stress-related dreams. If your mind gets occupied too much, for too long, or too intensively, so that it becomes unbearable, your mind reacts.
People react differently, according to what type of person you are. Some develop psycho-somatic illnesses, some others get aggressive or auto-aggressive. And some get nightmares.
Although you say that you are happy, there must be something in your life that troubles you a lot... otherwise your mind wouldn't react so strongly.

Dreams are issues that are going on in your life. They don't always mean what you are dreaming about.

To see demons in your dream, represents ignorance, negativity, distress or your shadow self. It also forewarns of overindulgence and letting lust give way to your better judgment. As a result, your physical and mental health may suffer.

To dream that you are possessed by demons, indicates ultimate helplessness.
