This started about 3-4 years ago. First my skin on my chest, arms, shoulders, back and stomach would itch then there were red spots about the size of a bottlecap now there alot bigger and i have the same effect as stingy nettles where u get the red blob and its itchy with ur skin colour blob in the middle. I get them after about 10-15 minutes in the shower
i don't get that after a swimingpool or a bath just when i have a shower then it itches for about 5 mins after the shower and the spots fade away after about 20 minutes. Its also strange that before they were just red blobs on my skin now there orange :S
my folks tell me its some alergy on shower water cause they put so much crap in it to clean it which could react with my skin. please help.

have you tried changing soap or shampoo? You could've developed an allergy to those types of things and not know it. Try using something that is mild and hypoallergenic. If it doesn't work, you're going to NEED to go see a dermatologist. Something else could be going on that needs medical intervention.

It does sound a bit like an allergic reaction to me too. Or maybe the shower water is too hot and is drying your skin.

Try using cooler water to shower, and a mild soap- perhaps something like oatmeal soap. And after you dry off, a good lotion.

Good luck!

Yeah, it is probally a soap allergy. I get rashes all the time in the shower on my legs and butt. LOL. They go away right a way. It could be from your shampoo too.

hmm i think i had the same thing
when i'd get outta the should on my neck, chest, shoulders, and upper back would get all red and blotchy...it would itch...and it looked kinda dry
i used aveno cream and that helped
(i can't remember the exact one i used but it was in a tan and dark blue tube)

if it gets worse then see a doctor.

stop using perfumed soap. Get a hypo-allergenic soap. DIAL makes a good one, it is orange and eventhough it has no perfume in it , it smells pretty good.
