The righteous look forward to this wicked system of things to end.
The wicked like it just like it is.
I am looking forward to the NEW system where righteousness is to dwell and perfect people will live on a restored earth in peace and security.
Righteous people have a spiritual paradise now in that they serve God with a clean conscience and are the meek of the earth with their faith in Jehovah God. They have accepted Jesus as their savior and the King of the Kingdom we all pray for.
Wake up yall and think for yourselves. The end is in sight. Don't turn away from it.
Your life and families lives are at stake.

It seems that Jesus related the end times to child birth in Matthew 24. The wait, the sudden contractions, the pushing; it's all difficult but, the birth itself is a sigh of relief.
Faithful people have always looked forward to the Kingdom of Messiah.
God bless

If you mean the end of all wickedness as described in Psalms 37:10,11. Then no I don't think it's wrong. Especially if you know of Gods wonderful hope for the righteous and meek as discribed in the above scripture as well as in Revelation 21:3-8.

Looking forward 4 billion or so years seems a bit pointless to me.

It kind of gives points to Nietzsche.
German philosopher Nietzsche believes Christianity is born out of what he calls slave morality. The slaves are weak. So they imagine a world in which a God will come to avenge them in the end, since they dare not physically revolt themselves. They would love to reap all sorts of violence on their masters and generally hate existence, but they are too afraid to do so. So their God will come back and reap their vengeance for them.

Yes. It is a waste of time, and since time is the one thing that you absolutely cannot get more of, worrying about the end of the world is a bad thing.

I don't think so unless you are so consumed with it that you aren't really living in the here and now.

I don't think it's wrong, but it might not be the best use of your time, energy, and mental capacity.
