Imagine the torture that some people would face if they knew that, throughout eternity, the "wrong kind" of people were given eternal bliss by God. Think of how the uncharitable and bigoted would suffer merely by knowing that the very people they hate the most are still beloved enough by God to be also given a place in paradise alongside the "right kind" of people.

Wouldn't that be hell to them?

Eternal life by itself would be disastrous. Life would cease to have meaning, if it went on forever.

There are only so many times I could sing amazing grace before I started to wander off and loose concentration. The bible is pretty thin on its explanation of heaven, I can't understand why people are giving up their lives to live there eternally.

Its like moving to a new neighborhood you know nothing about, and buying a house that will put you in debt and can't be sold for the rest of your life. Then justifying it by trusting the realestate agent.

What if you hate the neighborhood?

Edit: Wandering stranger, I gave you a thumbs down, i do no longer admire being referred to as unsubstantiated, derogatory names, that are aimed in the direction of discounting my honour. you could no longer in basic terms call somebody a hypocrite devoid of due objective or any info. call calling exhibits your puerile streak, it says extra approximately you than those you accuse.

Just like everything else in the universe, heaven and hell are exactly alike except for the differences.

I would not want to spend eternity with Christian evangelicals. As Jean Paul Sartre wrote, "Hell is other people."
