Vets don't generally specialize in certain breeds -- dogs are dogs. People who advertise as having a small animal practice will be able to take care of your dog.
Look for someone you can communicate well with, who answers your questions. If you don't like the first one, try another.

I always, always, always, ask for a referral or, if I am new to the area and I don't know anyone, I call the local humane society and find out who they recommend. They will tell you the truth. Make sure you ask for a reputable vet, not necessarily the cheapest. Sometimes they have an agreement with a vet in the area. Usually, they tend to be reputable, at least that is my experience.
Also, someone else you can call is a series of groomers. Usually they have a great vet!

It is important for your vet to be a person who shares your philosphies. If you believe in RAW feeding then your vet should be supportive. If you are a person who believes in 3yr vaccines then your vet should share and support your decisions. If you want lots of intervention, then your vet should be high-tech. Just choose a vet who will treat your dog the way you feel he should be medically treated.
