I don't think I'll live long enough to get the chance to vote for an atheist candidate with a chance of winning. Atheists are The Most Mistrusted Minority in the US, according to a very recent survey conducted by the University of Minnesota. That is a mighty big hill to climb for an atheist with an aspiration for the Oval Office.
To answer your question, hypothetically, I would if they were less detestable than the other candidate with a strong chance of winning.

I would vote for a atheist president, because the so called Christian ones are living in a dream world and are liars and only care about MONEY.

No. Only because I don't vote as it is since I hear nothing that sounds intelligent out of anyone's mouth. I don't see that changing much just because they are an atheist. They will still be after the status.

Why not? If his/her position on the issues agree with the way I feel how the government should be run, yes I would vote for an atheist. In fact I would prefer an atheist to someone who proclaims to be a religious person, but is not.

Sure. What does religion have to do with how a person runs a country? Men govern, not God. People have this stupid premonition that if a person is'nt religous then that person is'nt rightious. Let me ask you this, if a person were extemely devout and God fearing, do you think that person would send our soldiers into enemy territory to kill others? What if the Pope were president?

Hell yes. I would be so nice to have a president who didn't feel that Armageddon was a logical future. They might care a little more about the state of the world. Also, it would be a great White House Easter Egg hunt. He (or she) would be laughing while kids were trying to figure out why a dude in a bunny costume was hiding eggs.

If I agreed with his/her stances on the issues, voting record and platform...
A persons religious beliefs or lack there of, play no part in my selection of them as the correct candidate for the job...

Certainly, if she held positions on the issues that I could support. Just being an atheist will not, in itself, automatically gain my support, but it's a good start.
