why dont they say "Anyway"?
English is our language, not the yanks who bastardize it!

this is the first i've heard someone complain about the american way of saying things. Unfortunately for you each country has their own thing that they make their own. Sorry we cant please everyone but the people of this nation have the right to speak however they want :-)

Many of us Americans do not say "anyways."

As for bastardizing, I'm sure that 19th century British speakers would not have used the word "stuff" the way you just did.

Languages evolve. Is English a bastardization of Anglo-Saxon? Is Italian a bastardization of Latin? I would say no. Language change has always been the way of the world.

I live in the south and i say anyways all the time. And i don't think it is very nice of you to say that they have bastardized the english language.
