Thank you for the information but please read my question again. I asked WHEN is Hajj. NOT WHAT is Hajj.

Tomorrow on 19.12.2007 will be the day of hajj this year.

Day of Arafah ie hajj was on Tuesday, therefore Eid is on Wednesday.

my daughter told me its eid today which means hajj is finished eid starts the day after the haj finishes.

It is usually spelled "Haj."
One of the rules of Islam is that every Muslim who is physically & financially able must make a pilgrimage to Mecca (in Saudi Arabia), Mohammed's home town, at least once in their lives.
This pilgrimage is known as the Haj.

i go with mc daddy and add that tomorrow is the holiday when god sent a sheep to Abraham so he wont sacrifice his son ISHMAEL and that was in mecca so tomorrow we do the same as our father Abraham did and sacrifice one as well

Haj is the trip to Mecca that Muslims make. Its whenever you can afford it, no special time.

It is a religious trip to mecca made my muslims at least once in their life they have to make.
