I know he has a plan for us, but do you think that if certain people don't fit into that plan he takes them away, or if you goals or dreams don't fit that, he puts obstacles so that you cannot reach those goals and dreams.

Scripture defines this in "No weapon formed against you will prosper." God never promised us a life without problems, and God uses some problems to walk us through into spiritual growth that would otherwise not happen in order to build our character.
I have to wonder- I've lost a parent and only sibling in the last 3 1/2 years.....

everyone that comes in our lives are there for a reason, God wants them there, some that will help to bring us closer to God and some that will test our faith, some are meant for us to lead towards God. but all part of his plan, if there is someone out there that is not meant to be a part of our lives then, God will keep them away. there is a reason and purpose for everyone in our life. we just have to figure out what that reason is, i believe that by praying, God will reveal to us, what others place's are in our lives. God bless.

No I don`t. i believe that on this earth we will face many things and we will have strength to stand or we will not. This is a training ,or proving ground for the next life. I do believe that God can intervene in our behalf if we pray and need his help.

I would argue against living for God if that God will not make itself known to you.
If you're going to commit yourself to this God, It should be good enough to acknowledge this commitment at the very least, and if you are a good follower, help you along in your goals.
Rules that other people make I would argue are an abomination; people who cite the Bible exclusively as their evidence and say, "You should do this because the Bible says so!" shouldn't be trusted because they're enmeshed in doctrine.
If God put people on the earth with the ability to reason, I think it would be wrong to not use that ability to think for yourself.

If you are making something else your God, He might do that in order to do what is best for you.
Good question!
I am getting older, lol,...52...and I have found that He really does know what is best for me. I wish I had learned that lesson 30 years ago.

I think God gave us free will. The devil will try to get into your life. When I became closer to God, the devil did not like that. He tried to attack me. I had to keep praying to God to keep me on the narrow path. The devil will keep trying to knock you down, just don't allow him to do that. Keep your focus on God and not the world around you. My prayers are with you.
