I'm 6'0" and 140 pounds. Not sure...he did say "render unto Cesar"...I don't think he would want us to enforce it ourselves...but I liked the second answer that said the death penalty allowed him to prove his point!

What are you gonna do to me if you don't like my answer?
Fortunately, I'm afraid of nothing and nobody. The bigger the problem or person, the harder it will fall.
Anyway, the question is absurd because whether a fanatical prophet approves of the death penalty or not, is no more important than asking an American redneck what she/he thinks of taking another human's life - including that of an entirely innocent suspect.

I'm 5'2" and 117 lbs., and I think Jesus does approve of the death penalty for certain crimes if there's no doubt the person is guilty. If we aren't sure, life in jail is better. We are suppose to abide by the laws of the land.
BTW, why are we giving our height and weight?
Merry Christmas

Depends on your crime. Jesus did too support capital punishment. After reading a few of the answers, you can't just pick a story or verse out of Scripture and think that's enough to know God's heart. Listen to these words of God: "And will you profane me among my people......killing people who should not die, and keeping alive who should not live" ( Ezekiel 13:19 ). And remember Jesus said in Matthew that He came not to destroy the law or the prophets....but to fulfill it. "A man of great wrath will suffer punishment: for if you rescue him, you will have to do it again ( Proverbs 19:19 ). Capital punishment was initiated first in Scripture. Today our government is not acting as an agent of God as they allow the murderers and vile criminals to "sit" on death row for years without swift judgement. This attitude has only aided in the wickedness of man. "Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the hearts of the sons of men is fully set on them to do evil ( Ecclesiastes 8:11 ).

I'm 5'11" and I don't know how many pounds, but I'm 85kgs. And Jesus would not have approved of the death penalty: his main message was forgivness, not punishment.

This is not the football section you are not required to put your height and weight before each question.
In case any of you are not familiar with the football section in sports everyone states their height and weight and usually how fast they can run and asks what position they should play.
To answer your question. No I don't think Jesus would approve of the death penalty.

No, because he is all about love! Many have been put to death that didn't do it and proven now by DNA study, most have been black men so i doubt very much if Jesus would have anything to do with such a corrupt system.

Only if you fit snugly in the electric chair. Otherwise, Jesus would find it cruel and unusual punishment!
