interesting how you would not like a "religious" person in the atheist section, but it is perfectly ok for an atheist to be here. Kind of a double standard don't you think. If you do not want to hear answers from religious people. why are you here? Do you expect us to not share what we believe, especially in a section reserved for religion and spirituality? You can be here and share you non-beliefs if you want.

That makes sense, since most of the proselyting here on the Religion & Spirituality board is being done by atheists...

It would be a religious person loaded for bear with his or her silly little arguments, desperately trying to convince himself that his fairy tale beliefs are true.

They don't really want to convert people - if we were all Christians, they'd be demonizing some subset of Christians. It's the demonizing that motivates them.

I'm wondering what we would talk about in an atheist section..

"I don't believe there's a god"
-"I don't either!"
"Huzzah!"

...what else is there after that if the fundies didn't show?

I think it would be an atheist cos he/she would be there ready to get whatever the religous person says turn it upside down and spit it back in there face.

I think it would not.

I think it would be a certain militant atheist who is full of hate and anger. She'd tell the rest of you to be more militant.

i totally agree...religious people trying to convinve others thinking that by convincing other people of what they believe blindly they would get to really believe it too, but there is no way, as god doesn't exist
