Well it sounds like a one liner to me but Yes it sounds like he wants something more than friends... It sounds like sex to me.
He said just enough to make you wonder and he's good at it too he's done this before. I know because I'm a man.
Is it Love depends on what you maen by love? I wouldn't think so. Just becareful not to take it so seriously. And watch flattery. I don't know you or how old you are and the same goes for him as well.
I'd ask him "just what do you mean it would be to hard to be friends with me" I'd have to put him in the hot seat just to have fun and if he acts shy he isn't. he's just acting. But if I were you I would have so much fun with this situation But I wouldn't be seen out with him for a long time and I wouldn't give him any just in case he has a bet riding on it. LOL have some fun with this idiot. Listen to every word and look at every action.
Does he have a good job is he so good looking that he feels he can get any woman he wants is his car really just to cool?
