The private q and a's are a response to people who go through your back stuff,reporting away.We all know the report system is complete rubbish,very prone to abuse.I had 2 accounts gone ,the last one for asking a legit question in "pets"about a cat I had adopted.I asked a question then on why and how,and was given the advice to keep my q/a private...Haven't had a violation since
I DO get bugged at the "no email",sometimes people say the most OUTLANDISH things,and you want to call them on it,but they are just "hit and run"Rather cowardly if you ask me

Yes. Some people get on a vendetta against others, look through all of their questions and answers, and methodically report every one of them in order tog et someone suspended.
As for the "no emails allowed,"
I have had hate mail from an Italian Man Man Man who allows no emails. The coward can dish it out but he can't take it.

Anonymity is my protection against being someone's lolcow, milked for my delicious dairy lulz. Harassment, flames and trolling are a kind of performance art to many people, others take it all too seriously. I'd rather not be caught in the crossfire, and would rather be a troll, stalker or internet hate machine than be a victim!

That is the best thing YA have done..
I was under attack from a jealous person, who has 10 IDs he would go to all my answers and would give thumbs down to all my answers... irritating...it was
he would also report all my best answers and a few of them got deleted.
I was also subject to threatening E-mails..so much so i had to leave YA and i remained out of Ya for 4 months.
After introduction of this... there is some check on this nonsense.

Unfortunately for some they can't handle the answers given to there questions.Many don't mind as long as they can take the criticism.
However for those that cannot. obviously they don't like the truth or they may have issues of another kind.
Who knows, Humans are funny animals. Aren't we all.

I tend to think these are fake accounts, set up by people so they can "report" answers they don't like and try to get rid of people who have opinions that differ from theirs.

My e-mail is open. . .but Q & A's are private because there are people who apparently have no life and get kicks out of reporting everything I type. : )

I have my e-mail, IM, and 360 open for any and all comments, questions, complaints and insults.
