It happened many times and will always happen. People can find love, meet "the right one" anywhere and everywhere.
However, you should not avoid the fact some people lie A LOT online. Think, how many people are lying to their partners in real life - doing it online is a lot more easier. A friend of mine was in a relationship with a guy from another country. They were together for 2 years, were visiting each other time to time... 2 years later my friend learned the guy had a wife and kids in his country!
