Don't date someone from Nigeria. They are scamming you for your money.

Don't marry someone from Poland. They are going to marry you and then divorce you once you have children.

Don't date someone from Australia. You won't be able to understand the locals and when you come to visit you might get killed by the crocodiles or the jellyfish or the drop bears or whatever.

I have dated a couple of guys from the internet, but from my own area... otherwise it is a wasted effort.

Generally, though... organic meeting (ie by chance, in person) is far better than internet dating. My love (that I met in a bar) and I read our old internet profiles and decided we never would have gone for each other based on those... but we are mad for each other!

Oh yeah... you won't get eaten by crocodiles if you date Australians, although we can be difficult to understand :-D
