Oh you can join, but don't expect to rank higher than planetary janitor or some other low title with a galactic space twist.

You pretty much need a 6 figure salary, a trust fund and heavily invested in the stock market to move on up, to the top! Maybe then we can find out who grills beans :p

Since I like your other questions and answers I will consider this to be a real question..

To join the corporation? Yes I believe you would need quite abit of money for that. They havent offered public stocks or anything. But if you offered a large chunk of change then they would probably accept it. As a non-profit Im not sure if they could arrange for you to get a return on your investment though.

To join the Church of Scientology at a minister level? That would be after the 1-on-1 counseling which according to anti sites such as xenu.com can run from $16/hour to 350/hour depending on how long you are in counseling (how many issues you feel need cleared up). I guess thats comparable to other hourly counseling things. Again according to Xenu.com that could run you as much as $350,000 total which is a small house where I live. Not exactly millionaire money though. And it seems cheaper than the same levels in most other religions (usually they have something along the line of "all worldly possessions").

To join as in taking a few courses? Again according to the anti sites such as Xenu.com that would be about $50 for the first course. That would be the Communications course. Great stuff. Very useful. Doesnt strike me as being a budget buster. They go up from there but its all flat rates so its pretty easy to decide whether or not its worth it to you before you jump in. According to anti-scientology sites most people take a few of the cheaper courses then leave.

To join as in becoming a member of the church? Im not sure if there is a charge for that. I dont remember one. It seemed like anyone could come to Sunday services altho they were pretty bland and generic so Im not sure why anyone would want to. I never saw them pass a plate though so it would also be cheaper than many other churches. No nudge-nudge "the good book says 10% of your earnings" kindof thing.

You can join the SEA ORG; the people who work for the Church and pay for their classes and auditing by labor.

The Sea Organization is the actual nexus that controls the scientology empire. Sea Organization personnel are authorized to take over and control scientology organizations and to demote personnel, move bank accounts and run the corporation as if the SO personnel were employees or representatives of that corporation but they are not.

The core of every great religion in history has been a group of individuals dedicated to achieving the goals of the religion. In Scientology, these individuals are part of a fraternal religious order known as the Sea Organization, or Sea Org. While relatively few in number, its members play a crucial role in virtually every aspect of the ministry and expansion of Scientology. And, like their counterparts in other faiths, Sea Organization members occupy the most essential and trusted positions in the senior churches in the Scientology ecclesiastical hierarchy. The Sea Organization derives its name from its beginnings in 1967 when Mr. Hubbard, having retired from his position as Executive Director International, set to sea with a handful of veteran Scientologists to continue his research into the upper levels of spiritual awareness and ability. The first Sea Org members, who were all Clears and OTs, formulated a one-billion-year pledge to symbolize their commitment to the religion as immortal spiritual beings. It is signed by all members today. They dedicate themselves to the goal of bringing spiritual freedom to all beings through the full application of Mr. Hubbard’s technologies. The Sea Organization was born of a concern for the welfare of mankind — and it is with this viewpoint that members of the Sea Org continue to operate.

Here's a Scientology price list... you take a look and then decide just how much you need to be making:
http://www.sweenytod.com/cos/pricelist.html

Just to give you an idea, their "auditing" services are purchased in 12½ hour blocks, costing anywhere from $200-$750 for introductory sessions to between $8,000 & $9,000 for advanced sessions.

You need to believe that a science fiction writer WASNT writing fiction when he said that we are decended from aliens....you then need to browbeat and muscle anyone you know into believing and then strongarm all those that dont!

What's that, stop typing and retract this? Sorry Mr Cruise, it's too late... What are you pointing at me? it's a death ray? Nice try son...... No wonder Nicole gave you the elbow!

why!!!! scientlology is a cult of the highest order, we had a reporter document them on a BBC panorama programe and they are well freaky, check it out on you tube. if you want religion, use a proper organised one not one that had a science fiction writer as it's founder

or you could always weigh up the pros and cons of the bible and/or a secular lifestyle. put it this way it's done nothing but free my life up!!

i'm with the germans on this one. a dangerous cult who seem intent on gaining religion status. it's not a religion, it's a sinister way to part you from your money. but then isn't all religion like that?

I was beaten to it - but I too would suggest welcoming the Flying Spaghetti Monster into your heart.

You know it makes sense.

If you are not too poor, you will be after you join.

The main purpose of L. Ron Hubbard's new religion is to separate you from your money.
