As an Agnostic I would submit that if there is any evidence of "God" [Creator] it must come through Nature. If we really look at Nature that Creator had some sense of humor... The breeding habits of the Preying Mantis. The reproduction process of the Seahorse... the fact that there are creatures with both sexual and asexual reproductive methods... many more could be cited. [there are creatures that instinctively have homosexual experiences... I'm not talking about man]

If the Bible was dictated by "God" as an instruction manual... don't you think directions for brushing your teeth would have been there?

If reality (nature) and religion differ, reality is true.

NATURE !

As evidenced by the amazing mating ritual of the Nautilus.

The male Nautilus is tiny in comparison to the female.
His penis sits curled up on his head and is bigger than the rest of his body. When a female approaches he gets very excited. His penis breaks off his head, swims through the water and up the nostril of the female. The male Nautilus falls dead to the bottom of the sea bed. What a sex life !

On the basis of this evidence, I think that the "Power That Is" or "Could Be" has an excellent sense of humour !
No book could invent such a creature.

I would need to know what 'books written by man' you are talking of. If it is the bible, I cant imagine a more beautiful work that expresses God's unfailing love for man, but as for nature, Yes God does have a sense of humor, and it has been passed on to us as well.

Both ...nature dew to the fact God created it . the book you refer to (the Bible) was physically written by man , but was dictated to man from God (the creator)

I would have to say both: Nature directly, Books indirectly by evolving man into a creature with free will. With that free will, that author chose to have those experiences and/or gain that knowledge that led to the creation of his book that he/she chose to write.
