At first I thought maybe I just had an allergy to whatever plastic they were using, but my husband has the same bluetooth device and is having the smae identical health problems, to the point that it is too painful to use them, and we've only had them a little over a week.

It is a Samsung device and I have looked everywhere to see if someone has posted that they have had problems with this, I have changed nothing else in my daily routine such as any soap etc. The Bluetooth device is the only variable, and the reaction began almost immediately ( within hours ) for both my husband and myself. The afflicted area actually is starting to appear as though it is burned, maybe rdaition or EMF effects ?

If it's a known brand it might be worth checking out the manufacturer website for any sort of allergic reactions, or any health warnings. It's possible that this is a known issue and you may have missed a mass recall for that specific bluetooth device.
If this doesn't help it might be worth seeking professional advice, maybe from your doctor, about what is causing the reaction, and to purchase another bluetooth device that does not agitate the problem further.
But I would suggest getting rid of it, since it's only causing you problems.

I am also having similar problems with my Samsung Bluetooth. The devise makes my ear ring and has caused my parotid glands to swell up badly.

i used to have these problems with my ipod because my ears are small and the headphones are too large for the size of my ear. it may just not fit right and be rubbing and that can cause the itching. try seeing if u can find a better fitting ear piece.

Cheap, nasty headphones do this too. Poor quality materials combined with an un-ergonomic shape irritate the skin in the ear. Just cause it's expensive don't mean it's good!

If you can prove it is the bluetooth devices not some soap or other allergy, the two of you will make a fortune. The only people world-wide to suffer this affliction - and you're not even related. Amazing!!

anything that blocks the flow of air and allows even a small amoount of moisture to lay against your skin, has the potential to cause an infection. these are usually fungal in nature. don't leave the thing on for long periods of time

Yes, I have the LG 750 bluetooth device and wear them most of the day. I started itching on my hands that went up both my arms. I received welp like burns on each of my shoulders. I went the er and was told I was having an allergic reaction to something bUT there wasn't anything new in my life. I was given a steroid shot and cream to apply. The burns got a little better then started to get worst again. I went to the Dr and was told the same thing and was given the same treatment. I sometimes feel vibration like sensations that like a call is coming in but I don't have the Bluetooth on. Crazy huh? Could it be a residual effect from wearing the Bluetooth neck device too long?
I'm left with scars on my shoulders but now the welps are appearing on both sides of my neck...not wearing the Bluetooth device right now.
