to the staff when she comes, everybody is scared of her, even people who are way older than he and hold significant position like her. once she is in the office, we can't talk, if we do, the CFO makes bigs hand signals for us to be quiet. It's like a cimetery. The board of directors can't change her decision. The only time she speaks to me since I'm employed was yesterday to ask me if I have no work to do. because my computer had a word game running in the back ground. I was working, but having that in the back ground is way for me to stay awake. When I answered her with the same tone she ask me the question, everyone almost have a heart attack. How healthy it is to work in hostile environment like that?

I forget to mention that I'm doing a completely different job than what I was hired for and someone else is getting the credit for it. It's very frustrating.

And before I came to the company, 70% of the employess received a $5000 raise, when she became the manager, she took all the raises back! Never heard that crap before!

Seriously, if you can find another job easily, just leave. So far, your contract has been broken, raises have been illegally removed, and the manager is a dictator. It's not worth the stress. You can either fight it or go. If no-one else is piping up, and the directors don't have control over her, then I doubt you'll get far going head to head with her, even with your contract shoved under her nose. Why take on added stress? There are much better working environments.

You mean she actually took money back from people after it was given to them for work they'd done? I think that's illegal.
You have a copy of your contract and your job description? Then show it to her, you have already shown that you're a bit pushy, and say that you're not happy. She sounds like a right cow. I'd refuse to do anything with someone like that. Everyone should just walk out at a prearranged time and not walk back in until they feel like it. A show of unity might make her rethink her management strategy.

She a bit*h of a boss who has to many problems and is taking it out on her employess (you included), so the fact that you stood up to her like that, well thats good you should put her into her place. And one final thing start looking for a diffrent job, somewhere, where your boss will enjoy you as a worker and let you talk with another co-worker.

If you really like this job, you would like everything that comes with it! Are you sure you really like it, or are you just happy that you have one?
I would complain to human resources about her, and if nothing changes, I would look for another job. She sounds worse than cruela deville! I know no manager is perfect, but seriously, she has some business ethic problems and some sound illegal ( im pretty sure its wrong to take away a bonus once someone has recieved it.)
sorry and best of luck!

I think you should start sending out resumes now!! That place sounds just awful and not someplace you will enjoy spending 8 hours a day at.

You aren't going to change her, so you need to be the bigger person and just deal with her in a highly professional manner, or start looking elsewhere.
