Trust me sweetheart - I've been there.
And back again. And then again.
Bugger is - prescriptions from your GP often do more harm than good.
Take time out to pause. Even McDonalds - big or busy as they are - can't avoid State laws on employment - so don't fret about the loss of job. You sound seriously ill - and in need of a longer term note from your Doctor, explaining your condition.
Trust the professional medics - they'll readily admit they often dispense drugs which do more harm than good. But if you
explain you're punching walls - I'm sure your Doctor will sign you off for a month - and give you time to recover - and decide whether you do, in fact, want to continue in the fast-food industry.

If you're spaced out on the meds then do the responsible thing and NOT go in. You could be hazzard to yourself and others. If you have an understanding boss it'll be OK. Just to be on the safe side tho you should get a Drs note. You want the job but you don't. Your panic attacks before going to work indicate that. Take another day or two and keep looking for that other job. Right now even.
I hope the new job isn't like McDonalds because you'll go through the same thing and that will turn you into a mental midget.

Your health is most important!! If your in a panic about the decision of to go or not...I probably wouldn't go. Hopefully your job will understand. Try some therapy on how to deal with your panic attacks. See if your job will let you do a job that is less stressful until you adjust. cleaning the lobby, maybe. With that everyone already has there food and don't really bother you for stuff. Try not to punch walls. If you feel yourself getting frustrated go to the restroom and try to calm down. GoodLuck to you.

i know its a hard thing to talk about but if you have a good manager you can approach you should have a chat to them about it. Hopefully they will be understanding and pleased that you are trying to get yourself sorted. Explain your concerns about losing your job and let them know that it doesnt affect your dedication to your job and that you dont want it to get in the way of you working there.
Your health always has to come first. No job is worth losing you health. Take the time you need. If you dont you may end up regreting it further down the line

Why don`t you have a chat with your boss, explain how you feel etc and maybe he can put you on duties so you don`t have to deal with the public. On the other hand he may say come back after christmas. At least he will know how things are and that you are bothered about your job.
Good luck and Happy Christmas.....

If you feel that bad, don't go to work today, but its going to get busier at work before the end of the week, you should consider that as well.
Just a thought - can you not ask for a shorter shift while you get used to your medication.

Speak to your doctor find out how long it will take for the AD's to kick in and how long the side effects will last and maybe see if he/she will sign you off until everything settles down or until after christmas. There is also heaps of support forums online that deal with panic attacks etc.

Just phone them and tell them you're still not well, and that you'll get them a doctor's note. If they sack you because you're sick, you can take them to court, you know that?
I'm sorry you find your job so stressful, I've worked in MacDonald's as a student and it certainly wasn't the nicest job I ever had! Kudos to you for sticking it out.

I got a friend used to work in McDonald and he said that is his happiest time ever. Believe it or not, tell yourself you will not be happier in anywhere else than the environment you are currently working at. Be contented and satisfied by serving customers with smile, nice meals and happiness. you know what, you are really important in contributing to your job.

Communication with your Doctor and with your Manager are essential. They will be happy to work with you on this issue.
My personal recommendation is to wait until you are able to cope before going to work. I say this because when I order a double cheeseburger,I do not want to find only ONE piece of meat in the buns.
