I don't know if they say this in other languages, too but in Turkey when you come home people use that expression?

The same happens here, in Greece. When I enter the house, my husband says "Is this you??" Well... no, it is not me. While I was out, UFO's took me for some medical tests, something went wrong, I died on the them so they transformed one of them as Alice and here I am, I just came in and going to kitchen make lasagne!!
Did I arrive?? No, I didn't arrive, it is just your illusion so I am going to take a nap and you do all the chores, because I will be out for the next 48 hours.

we use it too!
its little silly, like the other one "are you sleeping??"
we use it when we want to find out if the sleeping person is really asleep!

I usually answer to "did you arrive" as "no. I am still coming"
:D

No, I don't have a problem with these expressions as long as there isn't any frustration accompanying the "Sen misin?" word. :) I generally joke about it. "Geldin mi?" "Yok, daha yoldayım."

I give up on all sarcastic answers when the asker is my Mom. (She is the only one who insists on asking those questions )
I just say, "Yes, its me mom, yes I am awake mom, yes I am dressed up mom.. .. "
I can't even think about changing that.

i always say " you say" (sence?) :) and they never react.i hate this saying cuz i find it trivial,you already know who is in front of you,it is not necessary to ask another question then,is it?
