It doesn't generate it's own light...therefore, it is not luminus.

It does reflect light from the sun-rays which makes it appear to be luminus.

And the moon can appear to change colour, as light is reflected through Earths atmosphere, And sometimes you can get 2 or more moons in the sky, as light reflects through the layers of atmosphere at different angles

The moon isnot self luminous.It only deflects the light falling on it from the sun.That is why we see it in the night only and the side facing sun always shines

Well, it glows every night after the sun has been switched off. It's kind of like a massive night-light so the kids don't get scared.
