Alright, so today i went to the eye doctor. The nurse did some test and then sprayed something in my eye and said to wait 30 min. for the medicine to work. The doctor came and did the eye test and prescribed me glasses. Now at home when i tried reading, the words all became blurry and i had to move the paper back to read it clearly. My glasses are for seeing things far away not reading. So is it because of the medicine i got sprayed with or are my eyes dying on me?
BTW i'm 15.

your optometrist is fancy you get nurses :(

no the liquid probally didn't make you go farsight.
if you got stronger glass that was probably the problem they allow you to focus at far away objects better but make close reading really bad.(i can't read fine print with my glasses on)

So it sounds like they used dialation drops in your eyes to enlarge the opening into your eye so the doctor can see the back of your eye. The only way that dialation drops generally can affect the eye is by something known as an "acute angle closure glaucoma." With this, you often have eye pain, nausea/vomiting, and blurred vision with haloes around lights. This would be considered one of the few opthalmologic emergencies that exist. This, however, does not sound like what you are experiencing. Are your eyes still very sensitive to light? Also, are they still dialated (big)? Most likely, your eyes are still dialated which is blurring your vision. This should go away with time...

It's the drops/spray.

The same chemical which relaxes (ok paralyses) the muscle in your iris, creating a large pupil for the examination, has the same effect on the ciliary muscles which work your change of focus for reading, so that may be reduced or knocked-out for a while. A matter of hours, usually.

There's no problem with this, except it should have been explained to you while it was being done, to save anxiety.
(unless it was, and you weren't listening: I've known that happen, occasionally, with teenagers!)

No, Dont freak out- Dialation usually lasts about 4-6 hours. This procedure is to allow the doctor a better look at the internal health of your eyes- and yes, I hate being dialated too!

It may be because of the spray. but don't think that this will be a permanent thing. Did you ask what the spray is for? I suggest that you pick up the phone and ask to speak with the doctor or to go back and ask your question... don't feel stupid, your eyes are a very valuable organ, you cant afford to play with it.
