It is a drink made from tiger nuts and tastes milky and sweet with a flavour all of it´s own. It is a speciallity of my region ( the Valencian Region, Spain ) and we drink it regularly. There are also Horchata ice-lollies and granizado (like a slush puppy).

Traditional Spanish Horchata is made by soaking and griding small tubers (cyperus esculentus)called chufa in Spanish and tiger nuts in English. Once it's ground, you strain it, add sugar and refrigerate.

I've had it before at work. It's a creamy Mexican rice drink. It's interesting. A wonderful woman I worked with would secretly make a batch without the boss knowing and we'd all have some and hide it when she came around.

It is ground up rice(dry) that is added to milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. It really is good. I make it home made for my kids.
