Is there any medication or anything to prevent getting a
heart attack in the future. In my family they have died because
of heart attack. My dad had a heart attack but he survive,
they operate him and the doctor said that another heart attack
he won't survive. So, its genetic! I could die of a heart attack
in the future. Is there anyway to prevent this tragedy?
I mean, I want to pass the age of 70 and I want to meet
my grandkids someday. Please, help me how to prevent
from dying of a heart attack.

Hi
I too had operation to save my life
If you eat to much cholesterol it makes your blood line fill up with plaque and that blocks the blood from flowing to a point,
That you will suffer a heart attack
Heart attack MEANS NO BLOOD FLOW !!
Why no blood flow because to much plaque build up!
Having your cholesterol checked 2 times a yr. Is best to stay alive,
the test shows you with 200 or less total cholesterol is what you want to see.
Now where does the cholesterol come from??
Any thing that has eyes that is, animals ,
fish
beef
pork
eggs
milk
fish
crab
etc.etc.etc.
Look on the label of what you eat ,it will tell you how much
cholesterol is in it.Go to the internet and look up, cholesterol.
And learn about it ,and how much you CAN eat ,
There are folks in hospitals all over the world in there 30's
and are having the operation done !
TOO much cholesterol blocking the blood lines!
Good luck on your research.............................

if you are a teenager - do not take daily aspirin unless your doctor tells you to.
The other posters give good advice: diet low in fat and cholesterol, exercise, healthy weight, no smoking, not much drinking, all help prevent cardiac problems. You might have genetics against you but people who have cardiac problems have a combination of genetics and lifestyle. If your lifestyle is good, you can negate some of the genetic factors.
Also, you will want to have a doctor monitor your cholesterol and blood pressure.

One aspirin a day is highly recommended as a preventative, I had triple heart surgery eight years ago, now 82, and going strong, it is not necessarily genetic.
Try not to worry about future 'may happen' that is harmful in itself. Happy Christmas.

You cannot quite prevent a hear attack, since it's a genetic thing. You can though, exercise and watch your diet for longetivity.
