When you diarrhea, the best foods to eat are ones that will not further irritate your digestive tract and will enable your body to replenish lost electrolytes.

Those foods are: ginger ale (diet if you're a diabetic), broth (chicken or beef), applesauce, rice, sugar free jello, bananas and unsalted crackers. Also, Gatorade or Pedialyte will help a lot with replacing those lost electrolytes (potassium, magnesium, sodium, etc).

It is best to stick with clear liquids and bland foods and let your intestines recover.

Eat bananas, carob and rice - avoid lactose

Actually, it depends on whether you are dealing with an acute infectious diarrhoea (in which case you are best to make sure your fluid intake is good - clear fluids more important than food initially) or if you are in a chronic diarrhoea situation, which is more amenable to dietary treatment.
